APA California is seeking to appoint two new Vice Presidents to our Board of Directors due to mid-term vacancies! These appointees will serve the remainder of the 2022-2023 term, and will guide our organization in two priority areas: Diversity & Equity and Professional Development.
The VP for Diversity & Equity works with Section representatives and other VPs to promote inclusive perspectives and practices in the organization, and support a diverse membership.
The VP for Professional Development works with appointed Board members, Section officers, and other VPs to promote professional development and continuing education, including the provision of workshops for CM credit and AICP training.
Further detail on each position’s duties is available on pages 13-14 of our bylaws.
Vice Presidents are members of our Executive Committee, which meets monthly. Board meetings are held four times a year.
